Can I use it with X? - What can I use Wave with?
Wave is Bluetooth MIDI compatible and shows up as a standard MIDI controller. What that means is that Wave works with most music software and mobile apps right out of the box!
Software that we have tested includes Ableton Live, Logic Pro X, Pro Tools, Reaper, Bitwig, Studio One, FL Studio, Garage Band and G-Stomper Studio/Rhythm as well as VDJ software such as VDMX5 (All tested on Mac OSX, most also tested on Windows 10 as well).
If you are using software that is not on this list, hit us up and we’ll try it out for you.

Can I use multiple Waves at the same time?
You can have multiple Waves connected at the same time, it’s actually a lot of fun! For example you can do two-handed drum beats or have a great party with your friends! We have tried connecting up to five Waves on Mac OS X without any noticeable drawbacks. In any case, the total number of Bluetooth devices connected simultaneously is limited by the device Wave is connecting to.

Can I buy one Wave for each finger and my toes?
Hey, that sounds like fun! We hadn’t thought of that ourselves. That being said, Wave is primarily designed to be worn on the index finger of either hand, but there is nothing stopping you from putting it on your toes as well.

What is the latency like?
None of the artists that we have worked with have mentioned latency as being a limiting factor on our beta versions. If you would like to hear what kind of latency you should expect, please have a look at any of our videos where all audio/video is recorded live.
The latency you experience depends on the device you connect Wave to. It is difficult to set a upper bound on latency for normal operating systems. However, using our Wavefront module we expect the latency to be lower than 5 ms on average.

What kind of software do I need?
That totally depends on what you would like to do with Wave! For example if you would like to connect Wave to your current setup in Mac OS X you won’t have to install anything at all; just pair Wave with your computer and use it like any other MIDI keyboard! The same goes with Android or iOS, where we like to use apps such as Garage Band and G-Stomper Rhythm to play with.

Why does the ring in the video look different than the one I'm buying?
The ring in the video is the fully-functioning beta version of Wave, a version that is manufactured and assembled in Reykjavik by our team. This is the prototype we have been developing and testing with musicians for three years now. Instead of showing you a render, with post-production effects, we wanted to show you all the cool things Wave can do. The ring you are buying has the same main hardware but is mass manufacturable and looks a lot better than the current version. This is the Wave you will be helping us bring to the world!

What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
